SilAx Architecture

SilAx is a generic SilMinds-branded architecture for accelerating monetary computation engines, based on an arbitrary FPGA hardware platform and interface that is found suitable for the subject applications. SilAx uses DecLib units in a multi-pipe topology to match the data flow of a calculation procedure that may be conditioned on a number of attributes (e.g. mobile call rating).

SilAx-Pro is a more general configuration that is driven by SilMinds proprietary on-device coprocessor controller. DecLib units at proper dimensioning, and possibly an integer binary ALU, are interconnected with the coprocessor and act as shared resources. SilAx-Pro is intended to be optimized for a class of monetary computation engines, through its coprocessor adaptable instruction set, rather than configured to work for a particular application instance.
